AI Agents Inventory and Attributes

The AI Agents Inventory is one of the most connected inventories in the Enterprise Model; the relationships summarized here are treated in full in the closing Relationships to Other Inventories section. Its most defining relationship is to the AI and Machine Learning Models Inventory: every agent is built on and driven by a model, a consumption relationship carried by the agent’s model and model-version attributes. Through Integrations, the inventory cross-references the tools, APIs, and MCP servers an agent acts through; through the Applications Inventory, it cross-references the applications an agent is embedded in or acts upon.

The inventory consumes from the Data and Information Inventory to record the data an agent accesses, reads, and writes, and from the Data Sensitivity Types Inventory to record the sensitivity of that data. It cross-references the People and Personnel Inventory for the agent’s owner, accountable individual, stop authority, and attesting authority; the Vendors Inventory for its model provider, platform provider, and builder; and the Software Technologies, Capabilities, and Environments inventories for the frameworks it runs on, the capabilities it automates, and the environments it is deployed to.

On the governance side, the inventory cross-references the Regulations Inventory — and, through it, the Regulatory Obligations and Regulatory Agencies inventories — for the laws, regulations, and directives that constrain what an agent may do or say, and the Security Assets and Controls Inventory for the guardrails, credentials, and controls that bound it. The MCP Servers Inventory governs, as first-class assets, the servers an agent connects to.
