The more consequential question is what data each technology record should contain — which attributes to capture, in what sequence as TPM maturity grows, and what governance value each attribute produces. At minimum, every technology record should carry identity attributes (name, semantic identifier, category, description); ownership attributes (named Technology Owner); lifecycle attributes (current lifecycle stage, version and patch currency); strategic attributes (Rationalization Posture, Strategic Disposition); financial attributes (Total Cost of Technology components); technical attributes (dependencies, interoperability, deployment topology); and risk attributes (security posture, vendor concentration, supply chain exposure).
